First of a New Series of Paintings
I am taking a break from all the make up paintings and portraits and starting a new series of works. I am trying to take what I have learned studying faces and apply it to the entire figure. Here is a progress shot of the first of these paintings:

And a little more detail:

While working on this painting I have taken photographs along the way and posted them to my Twitter account. So if you want to see the full development of this piece, head on over there. More too come as this painting continues towards completion.

Beautiful! The hand is great!
Nicky, you just amaze me… !!!
how big is it?
wow, that is large.. takes a wide field of view.. I can't wait to see the finished product..
Actually, I even surprised myself with this one. It looks much better in real life, I just hope I can keep finish it off well.
P.S. this is the biggest painting I have ever done yet.
7 feet wide by 3 1/2 tall
wow, sick, sick stuff
Each new painting you do I think is your best. This is no exception. The photo doesn't do it justice. You have to see it in person.
Nick, that is awesome! I wanna see the real thing next time we're in Mass
You guys should come on by the studio. Just tell Karl to book a show in Boston and make it happen!
that is a big one!
