Even though the girls I pick are al beautiful girls, I think they are all beautiful in unique ways and not necessarily the sort of traditional beauty people would associate with the sort of traditional model look. Really I have no reason for picking the people I do, I did however just recruit my first male to sit for a portrait. I am pretty excited to get him in the studio and see what sort of imagery comes out of that. This one is looking really interesting so far. I don't see"ugly"in your translation through these portraits. I see colors in skin tones/undertones that are there already and that you bring to life. I agree what you mean about the beauty of the scars....there's some unconventional beauty in flaws. So, I'm curious why are most of your models tradionally beautiful women? Great post.
